Aargh!

Before you start messing about with things, bookmark this website.

Check that your speakers are turned on and that they are plugged into the correct socket. This is probably the right moment to go and make a cup of tea. At worst you might have to try your computer's 'Help' pages - and you know how helpful they are.

You might need to download a media player before you get to hear the music. If you have not done this sort of thing before, don't panic! The process is almost painless. Listed below are two players that are free.

If you are used to hearing sounds from your machine, but can't hear our music, then it's probably my fault. Please let me know:

Once you have arrived at the website of your choice then navigate to the 'downloads' section for media players and follow the prompts. Don't forget to bookmark this site so that you can return to hear the music.

This company provides a range of useful download accessories including the free player you are after - 'Real One'. It is often 'hidden' below the players that cost money.

Or a free player from the same folks that brought you the 'blue-screen-of-death', good old Microsoft.

There are other media players you could choose, 'Winamp' for example, is quite popular. A good place to start looking is the download site 'CNET.com'. Go to my 'Links' page (button below) for a selection of download sites.
